This s place is GREAT! Absolutely fantastic service and the sushi is fresh and delicious. The wait staff here are on their game.
They have recently added a new page to their menu. All of them are good... my daughter made up the protein roll.
Favorite rolls:
One spot
Foothill
The heart attack (stuffed jale
Favorite hand roll:
Crazy
(Ask for some sesame mustard sauce on the side)
Go there!
Update: New owners as of about 6 months ago. Their service and food has gone down hill. I'm going to have to find a new sushi spot because our last lunch, myself and my niece both had plastic pieces in our food. My plate had hard white plastic pieces that looked like they were from a milk carton and my niece had pieces of Saran Wrap in her sushi roll. I felt like I wanted to barf after biting it. When I told the server he said he could "comp us for one meal". Totally disgusted. Barf. -

They say the only people who like change or changes are babies. And this place, due to new ownership, has definitely changed, and unfortunately not for the better either. First thing you notice is their new menus. Trying to be on par with the menus at sushi martini, the menus are now more organized and thorough, even including pictures of the different sushies. Next thing you notice is all the new staff, and new sushi makers. But of most importance you notice the differences in their sushies. Same names but most definitely differently made...
Being someone who's been here at least monthly, at times 2-3 times weekly, you get use to certain way things are made and how they taste. Of note, they changed the angry eel, which use to be my goto sushi, it's missing a sauce that just kills the taste. It was very disappointing. Also the Johns which are my absolute favorite. Seemed like they finely chopped the fish instead of having large bits of fish. As though there's a fish shortage... Which really takes away from the texture and ultimately what the John use to be. Their sashimi still is really good.
Dont get me wrong. This place is solid. Service is quick. Prices are the same. Same chairs, tables, decor and layout. Fish is fresh. But now it's just different. And unfortunately with these small changes I fell as though it's now time to start looking for a new sushi spot.... -

There aren't too many legit sushi spots in the Inland Empire, but Sushi One Spot seems to be a more popular sushi joint that serves up relatively fresh fish. This place is located in a large plaza on Foothill Blvd, so parking is no problem at all; however, the lines get long and the place gets crowded, so make sure you come a good hour and a half before closing time. We arrived around 9 PM on a Saturday and were told they couldn't seat us because they were so packed and it was close to last call time.
So we returned on a weekend around noon time - we were lucky to beat the lunch rush and were seated immediately. Their menu is extensive with a ton of special roll choices. If you don't go with the AYCE option, the rolls can get a bit pricey and add up. But they also offer combinations, sushi specials, appetizers, soups, bowls, as well as a Kid's menu.
AYCE during weekends is $26.95 per person. If you order one roll, you're already paying about $10-15, so we figured the AYCE price is pretty worth it. What's great about Sushi One Spot is that they allow you to do half orders - we were able to try a ton of different sushi rolls that we probably would have been too full to try if we had gotten whole orders.
Most of the items we tried were pretty good, but after that first round, it was hard to really tell what was good since we were already quite stuffed. And most of the special rolls seem to be a variation of California roll with different items on top.
angry eel, golden orange, diablo, heaven delight, popcorn, supermoon , jen , spider
Rolls that I do recommend are:
-Heaven Delight: what can go wrong with deep fried cream cheese and salmon? And it's definitely unique!
-Golden Orange: if you like cream cheese, I think you'll definitely enjoy this roll. This comes with shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado and topped with salmon and sliced lemon. The lemon slices really give the sushi a unique taste.
-Diablo: the baked scallops on top of the California Roll were really tasty. Recommend if you're looking for a warmer roll.
Most of the other rolls were alright. Super Moon, Jen Jen, Spider Roll, Popcorn roll, Angry Eel - we definitely ordered a ton of half rolls, but in the end all the rolls started tasting the same and it was really hard to differentiate between all of them.
We also got the green mussels and oysters, which I do recommend. We got several Nigiri Sushi, but the only ones I recommend are the salmon and sweet shrimp. That sweet shrimp - I wish I had ordered it right away because it was so fresh and tasty. Philadelphia hand roll was also pretty good, but I ordered it towards the end of my meal and was so full. Would not order the calamari, takoyaki, or shrimp shumai again. And we got to end the meal with some green tea ice cream, which was refreshing and definitely a palate cleanser.
I was disappointed that they only offer the sea urchin and halibut at dinner only - if I'm paying the same price for AYCE during lunch and dinner, I should be able to get the items that the people for dinner get, too! My friend also ordered green tea, and he was given a green tea bag and charged several bucks when you can probably buy an entire box of the tea bags for the price of that one cup.
tl;dr - If you're ever craving sushi and in the Inland Empire area, I do recommend Sushi One Spot. But most of the time during AYCE, people stuff themselves with the nigiri sushi. At this spot, the nigiri sushi wasn't the shine of the show as the fish wasn't all that fresh. This place focuses more on their rolls, which I feel isn't the authentic sushi experience. Price for their AYCE is also on the more pricey side. Glad I got to try this place, but don't think I'll return. -

I know a 3-star rating is in the minority of reviews, but this sushi spot didn't live up to my expectations. I was really excited to come here on my birthday for dinner, but the experience was rather disappointing. I'm going to break down this review with positives and negatives to spice things up.
Positives:
-great customer service
-food comes out fast
-decent variety
-environment is lively
-reasonable prices
Negatives:
-fish quality is definitely on the lower end (even for AYCE)
-some of the fish pieces were spoiled and smelled bad
-some of their sides lack flavor
-crowded and tables are pretty cramped
-they missed some orders throughout the night
Will I come back here? Most likely not, there are much better alternatives with better quality and pricing.
Bottom line: it's not the worst, but not worth the drive for me or the price. Just be mindful and aware that the fish may be spoiled, it was in some of our orders. -

Make sure your Yelp reviews are sorted newest to oldest! Where the old owners at?!?
Do not go to this restaurant believing in the rating. After the change in ownership - the quality of food and service went downhill QUICK.
The fish are not fresh and poorly cut. It's straight up NASTY. We spit out quite a few of the sashimis because it was Gand they tried charging us $10 and then $5. Well, there goes your tip! The rice is not sushi rice, but gelatinous and overly sweet. But the real sucker is the lack of customer service. Rude waitresses and managers.
We walked out hoping to not get food poisoning.
